"I started coming to the Training Rim about 9 years ago and it was the best decision I have ever made for my health. At the time I was doing a lot of kickboxing and yoga, and I was having pain in my shoulders and knees from repetitive strain. After adjusting to what exercise is, I noticed that I didn't hurt so much any more and I was becoming addicted to my workouts. Not only was I becoming stronger, having less pain, and feeling leaner and healthier, I was having fun! I wasn't getting as sick as often as I was (having asthma makes me vulnerable to many colds and respiratory infections).
Having asthma kept me from participating in many sports as a child and young adult. This summer, I signed up for and completed two Spartan Races - it was the most agonizing fun I have ever had! Never in my life did I think I could do these sorts of things but the TR trainers and fellow members had confidence in me and gave me the courage to try.
I'm a 45 year old mom with a 4 and 6 year olds with 2 teenage step children. I have my own business so time is not something I have a lot of. The TR is my one priority I have to do for myself and to make sure I can function for my family. It makes me feel great and clears my head. You have to make the time and effort to be dedicated to this, but IT IS WORTH IT. Just do it!"

I never thought I needed a trainer due to my educational background and the fact that I was consistent with my workouts. Right after I started working with Jon, I realized consistency gets you nowhere if you're not doing the right things. Jon's workouts are intense without being insane. He knows when and how far to push without the client saying 'this is ridiculous'. I noticed my legs and core got stronger and this in turn improved my running. His knowledge of anatomy and physiology is extensive and he applies it to a personalized program which helped me achieve my goals. He's a very dedicated trainer (and he's pretty funny, too!)
